We have introduced Azure Storage Services. There are other services about storage and data on Azure.
By now, we see there are 4 storage services on Microsoft Azure:
Azure Blobs: A massively scalable object store for text and binary data.
Azure Files: Managed file shares for cloud or on-premises deployments.
Azure Queues: A messaging store for reliable messaging between application components.
Azure Tables: A NoSQL store for schemaless storage of structured data.
If you don’t know how to use them well, Microsoft has alreay provided nice information which is “Deciding when to use Azure Blobs, Azure Files, or Azure Disks”.

Microsoft is becoming cool. They are releasing more and more amazing technologies and expanding their technologies to be applied widely. I mentioned before, Google and Apple’s technologies seems were always welcome by young people since they thought those technologies were cool, but they thought the technologies which were came from Microsoft were most “old, out of dated”.
I was from a C/C++ developer when I worked on both of Windows and Unix platforms. When I worked on Unix system, I had at least 4 years did not touch any Windows develop technologies. After I left Unix environment, I realized Microsoft C# was approved as a standard by ECMA and ISO, then I turned into C# and .NET technologies world. After almost 12 years past, I realize Microsoft’s technologies never forced me leaving to another major technology and language such as Java, even Java and C# are very similar, but according to my received real requirement and finished applications, the .NET and related technologies have never become weak but become more and more stronger, more wider on applications.
Microsoft SQL Server is a popular database system. It is also the one of top 3 database systems in the world (The other 2 are Oracle and MySQL). It is also the biggest database systems on Windows platform.
However, Microsoft SQL Server can only run on Windows platform, which limits its applications in the world. Oracle and MySQL all provide multiple platform editions such as Linux edition and Windows edition. Obviously why MS SQL Server did not expand more market share like Oracle and MySQL, was just because SQL Server can not run Linux etc..
Microsoft made lots of software, and even hardware devices. Also, Microsoft named lots of products which they released. If you are a developer, or if you used Microsoft products, you also know Microsoft keeps changing many product names and canceling many products, especially they cancelled when you just spent time to learn them. but what ever, you know a truth, Microsoft like to give names to their products, and, they always thought the names were great.
In some cases you might have to stop a SQL Server instance. For example: you want to install SQL Server 2012, but you have a previous version like SQL Server 2008 installed. and, both of two versions are set the default TCP/IP port number, which is 1433 for SQL Server. so in this case you will have to stop the old SQL Server and install new one.
Actually we want to stop entire old SQL Server system for the new installation, but there is no such a way to stop entire SQL Server system but you will have to uninstall the old one, so you can just stop a SQL Server instance which you have created in the previous SQL Server edition.
We have SQL Server Management Studio 2012 Express works well, but when we tried to launch SQL Server Configuration Manager, we got the following error message:
Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manager SQL Server 2005 and later servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager.

In our one case we have multiple data tables with names includes spaces, we need to cut off all spaces.
We know we can use LTRIM and RTRIM in Transact-SQL, Let us try to use in SQL Server.
Firstly, We need to generate sql scripts to change sql data table names, in SQL Server, we have to use the procedure sp_rename to change a table name.
The following is for our case: Generate scripts for trim all table names with ‘RC’ prefix (SysDB is our database name):

Sometimes we need to copy data tables from another database in SQL Server. There are multiple ways to do it. Here we show the steps using SQL Server Management Studio.
SQL Server Management Studio provides us a function named Import Data…, we can find this options by right click a database.
